Okay so I'm not a legit pinup but I do adore the style and I do dress as though I'm from that era because well, the way they dressed back then was sexy without being too revealing. You know when you're at that awkward age in life where you don't know how to dress? Yeah, that was exactly when I started incorporating the fifties style into the way I dressed and fast-forward 7 years...here I am now. Living life as though it's 1956. But with internet access and phones of course.
Naturally, no matter what you wear in this day and age, you're not getting through your day unscathed. The constant questioning, the awkward stares that linger for a tad too long. Yeaaah. You know what I'm talking about. Which brings me to my first pinup problem.
Pinup Problem #1: THE STARES!
I don't know about you but I despise it when a person stares. It's rude and it just makes me downright uncomfortable. This gif is an accurate representation of how I react to people who stare.
Pinup Problem #2: Everyone wants to touch your hair
Is this not the truth? The amount of work and product that goes into my hair is insane, I'll admit that much. Also, I don't mean to sound rude and I'm flattered that you find my hair unreal but still, no touching the artwork please. Thanks.
Pinup Problem #3: Your nickname is ALWAYS Marilyn
I mean yes, Marilyn was definitely one of the most beautiful women to ever exist but not all of us aspire to be like her. Some of us, myself included would much prefer to look like someone such as Lauren Bacall.
Beautiful yet intimidating. YES.
Pinup Problem #4: Being considered "Overdressed".
I cannot help that I wear high waist shorts and cute flats just to go the grocery store a few blocks from my house. It's a lifestyle, not a trend. *Flips pincurled hair*

Alright, alright. You probably read the title and assumed this was a sick joke I'm playing but no, I AM FINALLY WRITING THIS ARTICLE! Well just showing my OOTDs' at least. A post will be written about my first time travelling to the Philipines soon so do check back!
So here goes!
So here goes!
On our first official day in Manila we both decided to wear TOPSHOP apparels. I was channeling a forties vibe but unfortunately for me, my shoe started talking and I had to buy a new pair of shoes. Urgh. Talk about unlucky.
This was when we went to Pinto Art Museum which was absolutely breathtaking. Like really guys, I was hyperventilating. The number of times I gasped...too many to count.
Had I known Tagaytay was going to be so chilly, I would have worn stockings or pants. The view was beyond amazing though so I guess it was a small price to pay.
And that concludes my OOTDs' for my trip to Manila. I didn't take that many photos of my outfit because I was busying admiring the beauty that is the Philipines. Although I was there for eight days, I would very much like to visit Manila again.

Once again I have completely neglected my blog. No surprise there, right? Well in my defense I have been incredibly busy with settling issues on school and I just ended my internship and now I'm waiting for school to start in April.
Besides that, the reason for this blog post is because I thought it was about time to revive my blog. It was beginning to look like a dusty old town you see in movies that's set in Texas or something in the early 1900's.
So yeah, here it is!
Also, if you hardly see blog posts here, check out my instagram! I definitely try to keep that updated as much as I possibly can! Oh! I've dedicated my vscocam account to all my outfits specifically so don't forget to check that out too!
I'll be doing another post on my outfits for the month here and I'll finally get around to blogging about my trip the Philipines. There's just soo much to be done!
