Flying solo...literally.
09:09As the title suggests, that's exactly what I did. It's amazing how I managed to convince my parents to let me travel all by myself to a city I have never been to before but hey, that's the fun part about travelling, right? Anyway, I decided on Chiang Mai because I've always been obsessed with how rich their culture is. I mean I do have a mild phobia of massive statues (It's a real thing, look up "megalophobia"), so for the very fact that I didn't hyperventilate when I came into close contact with the reclining Buddha and other various massive Buddha statues in the temples, I must say I was pretty damn proud of myself but that's besides the point. Chiang Mai was everything I imagined and more. I knew it was going to be hot there but wow. 'Hot' is a huuuge understatement. I was having trouble breathing and every time I exhaled, I kind of expected to see smoke or like fire come out of my nose. Okay, that's a little exaggerated but still. It was hot as hell. *Bada bmm tss*
Moving on.
Since I was only there for three days, I didn't make any plans but decided to take it easy. After I checked into my hotel in the early afternoon, I decided to take a walk around to familiarize myself with the area. I ended up renting a bicycle and cycled all around the place which I regretted at one point because I rode too far and couldn't find my way back to the bike shop and I had to return the bike in half an hour but thank my lucky stars I found it just in time.
OKAY. Now for the best part before I end up writing a thesis on my trip. PICTURE TIME!
